The Telangana government would provide the required assistance to Amara Raja Group’s advanced chemistry cell gigafactory and battery pack assembly plant, which is being built in Mahbubnagar district, said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, the Amara Raja team spoke with the CM on their groundbreaking Giga Corridor project and ePositive Energy Labs in Telangana.

With a capital investment of Rs 9,500 crore, the Giga Corridor would contain one of India’s biggest lithium-ion Giga Factories for Advanced Chemistry Cell manufacture and Battery Pack assembly in Mahbubnagar, as well as a Research and development center dubbed E-Positive Energy Labs in Shamshabad close here.

The project has the potential to employ 4,500 people directly and nearly the same number indirectly.
