To enable the connected vehicle capabilities in the recently released MG Comet EV, MG Motor India has teamed with Jio Platforms. Jio’s Digital Assets will be used by MG Comet EV to power its Hinglish Voice Assistant technology. The system includes hardware, a networking platform, music applications, and payment apps.\

The automaker said in a statement that the Hello Jio Voice Assistant, which is trained to comprehend several regional languages and an Indian user’s tone, has been integrated into the MG Comet EV. The assistant has dialogue support and can provide data about cricket, weather, news, horoscope, and other topics. Owners of MG Comet EVs may also ask the assistant to play music, inquire about the cricket score, and switch on/off the air conditioning.

According to MG Motor India, the Jio eSIM is also included in the construction of the Comet EV and plays a significant role in enhancing vehicle safety. Additionally, Jio’s eSIM can recognise the car and encrypt conversations while it is in motion.

Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, said “The MGI-Jio partnership will ensure our newly launched MG Comet EV enriches the driving experience for GenZ customers while ensuring safety and In-Car experiences backed by great technology.”

Users of the MG Comet will be able to enjoy real-time connection, infotainment, and connected vehicle experiences thanks to the “Hello Jio” voice assistant, streaming, payment apps, eSIM, and Jio IOT, according to Ashish Lodha, President, of Jio Platforms. It represents a dedication to the advancement of technology in the car sector, with innovation serving as its primary pillar.

Three MG Comet models are available: Pace, Play, and plus. Priced at $7.98 lakh, the entry-level MG Comet Pace is a reliable vehicle. While the prices for the Play and versions are 9.28 lakh and 9.98 lahks, respectively.
