To recap, the Chandrayaan 3 project follows Chandrayaan-2, with scientists aiming to demonstrate several capabilities such as reaching lunar orbit, soft-landing on the lunar surface using a lander, and a rover emerging from the lander to examine the moon’s surface.

According to scientists, after lift-off at 2.35 p.m. on Friday, around 16 minutes after lift-off, the propulsion module is expected to separate from the rocket and orbit the Earth for about 5-6 times in an elliptical cycle with 170 km closest to Earth and 36,500 km furthest from Earth moving towards the lunar orbit.

Popular actors Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Suniel Shetty have resorted to social media to show their support and appreciation for ISRO scientists and the country as India prepares for its third lunar mission.

Suniel Shetty wished ISRO “astronomical” success, while Akshay Kumar emphasized the importance of the moment. Chandrayaan 3 will be launched on Friday at 2:35 p.m., with the “Fat boy” LVM3-M4 rocket transporting the mission to the moon.

Suniel Shetty wrote on Twitter, “Excitement levels reaching the MOON!” I’m sending virtual congratulations to #Chandrayaan3 on its impending mission! I can’t wait to see India’s technological prowess soar to new heights! May your journey be pleasant, your discoveries mind-blowing, and your success enormous!”
