Dubai: The Fuel Price Committee of the UAE announced the petrol and diesel prices for June 2025. The new prices will take effect from June 1. While petrol prices have remained the same as last month, diesel prices are slightly lower.

June 2025 Fuel Prices in the UAE:

  • Super 98 Petrol: AED 2.58 per litre (same as May)
  • Special 95 Petrol: AED 2.47 per litre (same as May)
  • E-Plus 91 Petrol: AED 2.39 per litre (same as May)
  • Diesel: AED 2.45 per litre (reduced from AED 2.52 in May)

Petrol Prices are Stable

For the third straight month, petrol prices in the UAE have been stable. Super 98, Special 95, and E-Plus 91 are all available at the same price as they were in May 2025. This stability is helpful for daily drivers as they can plan their actual fuel outlays without concern of spikes in prices.

Individuals who travel daily by car or even rely on private vehicles can continue along their routines without an increase in the cost of fuel.

Diesel Becomes Cheaper

The only change this month is diesel prices. Diesel now costs AED 2.45 per litre, a decrease of 7 fils from last month when it was AED 2.52. This is good news for many businesses and transportation companies that utilize diesel fuelled vehicles.

Less expensive diesel will reduce transportation costs for goods and public services. Eventually, it may also help to stabilize the price some consumers pay for certain products and services.

How Fuel Prices Are Determined

The UAE’s system operates on a monthly basis, and it started back in 2015 when the UAE decided to link fuel prices to global oil markets. The system aims to reflect real market trends and promote and encourage responsible energy consumption.

Every month, a UAE government committee meets and looks at global oil prices before deciding local rates for petrol and diesel. This system is advantageous because it creates pricing transparency and ensures the country is in sync with international changes

What UAE Residents Need to Know

New fuel prices will be effective from 1st June. Residents are encouraged to keep up with the updated price changes before heading to the petrol pump. A minor change in fuel rates can adversely affect a monthly budget, especially for families or businesses that rely on regular transportation.

Motorists can, as always, visit petrol stations in their area or check online for the latest fuel prices.
