In the last 24 hours, India reported 188 new Coronavirus cases shown by the government on Wednesday. There are in total of 3,468 active cases in the country and no death has yet been reported. The country is still on alert due to the rising cases in China.

As per the reports, a woman and her six-year-old daughter, who had returned from China via Colombo, had tested covid positive at the Madurai airport in Tamil Nadu. The woman and her daughter were subjected to an RT-PCR test at the airport when they landed on Tuesday. They both are in home isolation in Virudhunagar. 

Two more passengers who returned from Dubai and Cambodia tested positive for Covid-19 at the airport on Wednesday. This made the total number of positive cases in Tamil Nadu 4.

There can be seen a covid spike in Bihar with Gaya reporting 12 active cases. Bihar has witnessed a more than 10-fold rise in active COVID-19 cases, since last weekend, according to figures released by the state health department.

As per informed by the Health Ministry the total active cases in the country are 3,468 while the death count still stands at 5,30,696. They also informed that a total of 1,34,995 tests for the detection of Covid-19 have been conducted in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.14%, while the weekly positivity was pegged at 0.18%.
