Infosys Limited is an Indian multinational information technology company and is quite famous for its business, technology, and outsourcing consulting services all over the world. Infosys was found in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was founded by Seven engineers with an initial capital of 150$, on 2nd July, 1981. In 1983, it relocated to Bangalore, Karnataka.

The company first started name by Infosys Consultants Private Limited, which it further changed to Infosys Technologies Private Limited, and then finally renamed itself as Infosys Limited in June 2011.

The company’s initial funding was quite less to carry the daily operations and revenue, hence they put out an Initial Public Offering(IPO) in February 1993. The Share offer price was kept at Rs. 95, against a book value of Rs 20.

Even after the hard efforts by the founders of the company, the share was “undersubscribed”. This further put up a great challenge for the founders. However, they were helped by Us Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley, which bailed out the company’s shares.
