The Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) increased the gas prices on Saturday in New Delhi and its neighbouring cities of Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will now retail at ₹79.56 per kg in Delhi, ₹82.12 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghazibad and it will retaile at ₹87.89 per kg in Gurugram.

“Due to increased input gas cost, w.e.f., 6 am on 17.12.2022, @IGLSocial  revises CNG retail price,” IGL tweeted informing the citizens.

The prices were hiked keeping in mind the increasing use of CNG in cars, autos and buses in the cities. The price of CNG was last hiked in October when the government increased the price by 40% from October 1.

Hiked prices of CNG in other cities as per IGL’s tweet:

  • Rewari – ₹89.57 per kg.
  • Karnal and Kaithal – ₹88.22 per kg.
  • Muzzaffarnagar, Shamli & parts of Meerut – ₹86.79 per kg.
  • Ajmer, Pali & Rajasamand – ₹89.83 per kg.
  • Kanpur, Fatehpur & Hamirpur – remains unchanged.

These prices will come into effect from today, that is, 17th December.
