If you have ever tried to shortlist an outsourcing partner in India, you already know the problem. Every website says the same three things: “24×7 support”, “cost savings” and “AI-powered”. Nothing tells you who is actually good at what.
We built this list from the other side of the table. Our teams have run voice, chat, email, WhatsApp, collections and back-office processes for banks, insurers, telecom operators, hospitals and fast-growing e-commerce brands in India. We have also lost deals, fixed broken transitions and taken over accounts that another vendor could not hold. So the notes below are not copied from brochures. They are the kind of thing you would hear if you asked an operations head over coffee.
Read it as a shortlisting tool, not a ranking trophy. The “best” BPO for a 40-seat insurance renewal process is rarely the best one for a 4,000-seat global helpdesk.
How we put this list together
Four simple filters:
- Real delivery in India. The company must run its own centres here, not just sell from here.
- Proven process depth. Track record in at least one domain — BFSI, telecom, healthcare, retail, e-commerce or utilities.
- Compliance readiness. Information security practice, background verification discipline and audit history that a client’s risk team can actually clear.
- Client stickiness. Long-running accounts, because in this industry a three-year-old account says more than any award.
One honest disclosure before we start: we are number one on our own list. We have put our numbers first and in more detail than anyone else’s so you can check us harder, not less.
1. ICCS DigX — Noida
ICCS DigX is a customer experience and business process management company with over 20 years of CX experience and 6,000+ professionals across delivery centres in India. We are counted among the top 10 BPOs in the country, and today we describe ourselves less as a call centre and more as a digital CX partner — human agents in front, automation and analytics behind them.
What we run every month
- 15M+ customer interactions across voice, chat, email and WhatsApp
- ₹4B+ in sales revenue generated for our clients
- ₹2.5B+ BPM portfolio under management
- Support in 30+ languages, including Indian regional languages
- 90% client retention
Our four service lines
- ICCS Engage — omnichannel customer support: inbound voice, chat, email, social and WhatsApp, 24×7.
- ICCS Accelerate — revenue work: lead qualification, assisted sales, renewals, cross-sell and collections.
- ICCS Transform — back-office operations, process automation and digital modernisation.
- ICCS Insight — speech and text analytics, quality management and reporting that actually changes the script next week.
Industries we know well: BFSI and FinTech, telecom and D2H, healthcare, e-commerce and quick commerce, retail and consumer durables, travel and logistics, utilities and energy, and PSUs.
Why clients pick us: most of our wins come from mid-size and enterprise brands who need a partner that can ramp 100 seats in weeks, handle regional languages without dropping quality, and sit inside strict BFSI compliance rules. If you are evaluating a BPO company in India, that combination is the thing worth testing in the pilot.
Where we are honest about fit: if you need 10 seats of English-only chat support and nothing else, a boutique vendor will price it better than us. We are built for volume, regulated industries and multi-process accounts.
2. TCS BPS (Tata Consultancy Services)
The largest BPM arm in India by headcount, and part of the Tata group. Very strong in banking operations, insurance platforms and finance and accounting at global scale. Best suited to large enterprises signing multi-year, multi-geography contracts. Not the fastest choice for a small, quick pilot.
3. Infosys BPM
Bengaluru-headquartered, process-engineering heavy. Known for finance and accounting, sourcing and procurement, and analytics-led transformation. Their documentation and process maturity is a real advantage if you are moving a messy in-house process out for the first time.
4. Genpact
Started life inside GE, now an independent global professional services firm with deep India delivery. The default shortlist name for finance and accounting, order-to-cash, and risk and compliance operations. Strong data and AI practice.
5. WNS Global Services
Mumbai-based, domain-first. Particularly respected in insurance, travel, shipping and logistics, and healthcare payer work. If your process has heavy industry rules inside it, WNS usually understands them before the transition starts.
6. Wipro (Business Process Services)
Part of Wipro’s larger IT estate, which helps when the BPO work is tied to applications, cloud and infrastructure that need to move together. Solid in BFSI, energy and utilities, and healthcare.
7. Tech Mahindra BPS
Telecom is in their DNA — network operations, billing support, subscriber lifecycle. Also a large Indian domestic business, which matters if your customers are in India and speak twelve languages.
8. HCLTech (Business Services)
Engineering-led culture, strong in digital workplace support, IT helpdesk and technical support. Good pick when your “customer support” is really Level 1 and Level 2 product support.
9. Firstsource Solutions
An RP-Sanjiv Goenka group company. Mumbai-headquartered with big operations in banking, mortgage servicing, healthcare and communications and media. Their US healthcare and mortgage practice is a genuine specialisation, not a line on a slide.
10. Concentrix (India operations)
Global CX giant with large India delivery footprint. Deep bench in technology, consumer electronics and retail support, plus mature workforce management tooling. Process discipline is high; pricing is usually premium.
11. Teleperformance India
One of the biggest CX employers in the world, with multiple India sites. Best known for high-volume consumer support and trust and safety work. Scale is never the constraint here.
12. Sutherland Global Services
Design-and-automate approach to CX and back office. Strong in healthcare, BFSI, and technology, with a visible investment in process automation over pure headcount growth.
13. EXL Service
Analytics-first BPM. Insurance, healthcare and banking operations wrapped around a serious data science practice. Pick them when the goal is better decisions, not just cheaper transactions.
14. HGS (Hinduja Global Solutions)
Long-standing Indian CX player with a large domestic business and a solid digital CX portfolio. Practical, experienced operations teams and good coverage in consumer, healthcare and public services.
15. Startek
Large India presence with a strong domestic focus — telecom, BFSI, e-commerce and government-linked programmes. Comfortable with regional-language voice at volume.
16. Alldigi Tech (formerly Aegis)
Chennai-headquartered, with a long India CX history. Good mix of voice, back office and digital support for domestic brands, and a workable option for mid-size ramps.
17. IGT Solutions
The travel specialist. Airlines, OTAs, hospitality and travel technology support, including airline-specific systems that generalist vendors struggle with. If you are in travel, put them on the list.
18. Omega Healthcare Management Services
Pure-play healthcare RCM — medical coding, billing, accounts receivable and clinical documentation support. Large coder base in India. Not a general customer support vendor, and does not pretend to be.
19. Movate (formerly CSS Corp)
Technical support and product support at its core, with a gig-expert model layered on top. Good for technology companies, ISPs and device brands with complicated troubleshooting trees.
20. Conduent India
Strong in transaction-heavy government, transport and healthcare programmes. Where the work is high-volume, rule-bound processing rather than relationship-led conversation, they are a reasonable fit.
21. Quatrro Business Support Services
Gurugram-based, with a clear position in finance and accounting outsourcing, HR support and tech support for small and mid-size businesses. More flexible on contract size than the top-five names.
22. Altruist Technologies
A large domestic voice player with significant telecom and BFSI work in India. Strong at regional-language inbound at scale and at fast seat ramps.
23. Cyfuture India
Noida-based, blending BPO services with data centre and cloud capability. Practical choice for e-commerce and SaaS brands wanting support plus hosting from one vendor.
24. Nimbus ITeS
A Noida contact-centre and outsourcing firm serving Indian and international clients across inbound support, outbound sales and back office. A useful mid-market option when you want senior attention on a smaller account.
25. Fusion BPO Services
Kolkata-origin, now multi-country, with India delivery plus nearshore and offshore sites. Multilingual coverage and a decent fit for brands that want India plus one more geography under one contract.
How to actually choose from this list
Five things decide whether an outsourcing relationship works, and none of them appear on a vendor’s homepage.
1. Ask for the process, not the pitch. Request the exact workflow they would run for your top three call types. A vendor who has done your process before will answer in specifics inside ten minutes. A good starting point is this checklist of questions to ask before you sign anything.
2. Look at attrition, not headcount. 6,000 people means nothing if a third of them leave every year on your process. Ask for attrition on similar accounts, and ask who trains the replacements.
3. Price the whole thing, not the seat. Per-seat rates hide transition cost, technology licences, quality staffing and overtime. Model it properly — here is how outsourcing cost usually breaks down in India.
4. Match the service line to the problem. Support, sales, collections and back office look similar on a slide and are completely different to operate. It helps to be clear on the types of BPO work you are actually buying.
5. Visit the floor. One unannounced visit tells you more than six months of MIS reports. Watch a live call, read three quality forms, and talk to a team leader without the sales head in the room. If you are evaluating a BPO in Noida or any NCR location, this is easy to do and there is no excuse to skip it.
Frequently asked questions
Q1. Which is the best BPO company in India?
There is no single best one. The right answer depends on your industry, volume and languages. For large multi-geography finance operations, the big IT-linked BPMs fit well. For regulated Indian consumer businesses that need regional-language voice, chat and collections under one roof, a CX-focused partner like ICCS DigX is usually a closer fit. Shortlist three, run a paid pilot with real calls, and let the data decide.
Q2. How much does it cost to outsource customer support in India?
Pricing normally follows one of three models: per seat per month, per hour, or per transaction or resolution. The final number moves with language mix, shift coverage, agent experience level and technology needs. A domestic English-plus-Hindi voice process sits at the lower end; a multilingual 24×7 process with analytics and dedicated quality staffing sits much higher. Always ask for a cost sheet that separates one-time transition from monthly run cost.
Q3. How long does it take to go live?
For a standard inbound or outbound process with clear SOPs, four to six weeks is realistic — that covers hiring, training, technology setup, integrations and a pilot batch. Complex BFSI or healthcare processes with compliance sign-offs and system integrations take eight to twelve weeks. Anyone promising a full live launch in seven days is either reusing an existing team or skipping training.
Q4. Is my customer data safe with an Indian BPO?
It can be, if you check the right things. Look for information security certification, documented access controls, restricted-floor operations, clean-desk and no-phone policies, background verification for every agent, and a signed data processing agreement covering India’s DPDP Act plus any foreign rules that apply to you, such as GDPR or HIPAA. Ask for the last audit report. A serious vendor will share it; a weak one will explain why they cannot.
Q5. Will AI replace BPO agents in India?
It is changing the work more than removing it. Bots and automation now absorb repetitive queries — balance checks, order status, password resets — while human agents handle escalations, sales conversations, complaints and anything with emotion or money attached. The practical result is smaller teams doing higher-value work, with speech and text analytics reviewing every interaction instead of a 2% sample. Choose a partner who can run both layers, because a pure headcount vendor will look expensive within two years.
Final word
Use this list to build a shortlist of three, then test them the boring way: a pilot batch, a floor visit, and a hard look at attrition and quality data. That process finds you the right partner far more reliably than any ranking, including this one.
If you want to see how we would run your process — the workflow, the staffing plan, the numbers — talk to the ICCS DigX team. We will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
