Google will launch the Fitbit Air in India in October 2026, bringing its first screenless fitness tracker to the country. The company confirmed the launch schedule following the introduction of its Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 in India.
The exact launch date, price, colour options and sales channels have not been announced. Google is expected to disclose those details closer to the release.
Fitbit Air was introduced globally in May 2026 at a starting price of $99.99. The device is already available in selected international markets.
Unlike a smartwatch or a conventional fitness band, Fitbit Air has no display. It records health and activity data in the background, while users view their readings through the Google Health app on a connected smartphone.
Lightweight Design With No Display
The Fitbit Air screenless tracker weighs 12 grams with its band and measures 8.3mm in thickness. Its compact design is intended for continuous use during the day, workouts and sleep.
The device does not show messages, app alerts or health readings on the wrist. It uses vibrations for features such as silent alarms and Smart Wake. An LED indicator and vibration alerts inform users when the battery is running low.
The tracker comes with a Performance Loop band made partly from recycled materials. Google has also introduced additional bands for different uses.
The available international options include:
- Performance Loop for daily wear
- Active Band made from sweat- and water-resistant silicone
- Elevated Modern Band with a more formal design
- A special-edition Performance Loop developed with basketball player Stephen Curry
Google displayed the tracker with a pink Performance Loop during its India briefing. The company has not confirmed which bands or colours will be sold in India.
Health and Activity Features
Fitbit Air supports continuous heart-rate monitoring and records resting heart rate and heart-rate variability. It also tracks blood oxygen levels, sleep duration and sleep stages.

The tracker can identify common activities automatically and produce a workout summary after the session. Workouts can also be started or logged manually through the Google Health app.
The app displays heart-rate zones, activity history, sleep information and recovery data. Outdoor sessions recorded with a connected phone can include pace and heart-rate information on a workout map.
Fitbit Air can also transmit live heart-rate data to compatible exercise equipment. Users who own another Google wearable can switch between Fitbit Air and a Pixel Watch while keeping their information connected through the same health platform.
The health-monitoring functions are intended for general wellness use. Availability of features such as atrial fibrillation alerts can differ by country and regulatory approval.
Battery Life and Phone Support
Google claims a battery life of up to seven days on a full charge. Actual performance will depend on enabled features, usage and operating conditions.
A five-minute fast charge can provide enough power for up to one day. A complete charge takes about 90 minutes.
The tracker carries a 5ATM water-resistance rating, equivalent to resistance at a depth of up to 50 metres under tested conditions. The rating makes it suitable for workouts, rain and everyday water exposure.
Fitbit Air works with most phones running Android 11 or later and iPhones running iOS 16.4 or later. A Google Account, Bluetooth connection and the Google Health app are required.
Android users can connect the device through Fast Pair. On iPhones, pairing is completed within the Google Health app.
Google Health Premium Included
Basic health readings do not require an ongoing premium subscription. Fitbit Air includes a three-month trial of Google Health Premium in international markets.
The premium plan provides access to Google Health Coach, which offers workout plans, sleep guidance and recovery recommendations. Some AI-assisted logging and coaching features also require the subscription.
Google has not yet confirmed whether the same three-month premium trial will be included with the Indian version.
India Price Still Undisclosed
The standard Fitbit Air costs $99.99 in the United States, while the Stephen Curry Special Edition is priced at $129.99. Accessory bands start at $34.99 internationally.
Direct conversion places the standard model at roughly ₹9,400, but this does not indicate the final Indian retail price. Local taxes, distribution costs and Google’s pricing strategy could affect the launch figure.
Third-party listings for imported units have appeared online in India at prices exceeding ₹17,000. These are not official Indian launch prices.
Google has confirmed only the October 2026 release window. The final price, exact sale date, retail partners and available variants remain pending.
