Milind Lakkad, Chief Human Resources Officer, wrote in an email to workers, “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Elizabeth Mathew (Liz) as the head of TCS LeaD.”

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an Indian IT services business, has named a new head of diversity. According to an internal email written by the company’s CHRO, Elizabeth Mathew, a long-time executive, has been named as the head of TCS LeaD, its diversity initiative.

Milind Lakkad, Chief Human Resources Officer, wrote in an email to workers, “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Elizabeth Mathew (Liz) as the head of TCS LeaD.”

LeaD is the internal initiative of the IT services firm that promotes diversity and leadership at the executive level.

TCS has been contacted by Business Today for confirmation. When the corporation answers, the story will be updated.

According to the internal email, Mathew has taken over for executive Anant Haidale, who has taken on a new role at the firm.

“Liz takes over from Anant Haidale, who, after a successful stint in HR, has moved to take up a leadership role in the Manufacturing Business Group,” the CHRO said in an email to colleagues.

Lakkad’s email also stated that Preeti D’Mello, director of diversity and inclusion, and Brinda R, head of leadership careers, will report to Mathew.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Mathew has worked with TCS since 1989. Her hiring is one of numerous changes made to the company’s leadership by newly appointed Chief Executive Officer K Krithivasan. In June 2023, Krithivasan succeeded outgoing CEO Rajesh Gopinathan.

The company’s management has restructured numerous key managerial jobs since July of this year. According to exchange filings, TCS’s chief technology officer, K Ananth Krishnan, will retire on July 31, 2023.

Furthermore, various changes were made to the company’s senior management people (SMP) in accordance with Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) requirements. According to the exchange filings, the SMPs are Harrick Vin, Shankar Narayanan, V Rajanna, Siva Ganesan, Ashok Pai, and Reguraman (Regu) Ayyaswamy.

This continues CEO K Krithivasan’s recent string of executive appointments at India’s largest IT services firm. Anant Haidale, who formerly led LeaD and was the HR director in North America, will take on a new leadership role in the manufacturing business division, according to a memo sent to staff on Friday by CHRO Milind Lakkad.

Haidale, who is located in New Jersey, USA, joined TCS in 2007 from Infosys and has held major responsibilities in the manufacturing business. Anupam Singhal leads the manufacturing business group, which was announced in July as part of CEO K Krithivasan’s overhaul. Haidale has over 30 years of expertise in the industrial sector and led the LeaD program as well as the HR department for TCS North America.
