Tata Starbucks now has about 268 stores in 2022 as compared to about 221 stores in the financial year of 2021. There has been steady growth in the house of Tata when it comes to the Tata Starbucks, Tata Tea, and Tata Salt sector. From 2022 until now, Tata Starbucks has opened a record number of stores in the country.

The company has also managed leadership positions in its premium offering in the salt and tea division. Although the pandemic has struck a major blow in the hospitality industry, it is seen that Tata Starbucks is ready to achieve new numbers of its growth. 

The stores are now operational in about 26 cities from which 7 cities are added in the year 2022. Due to this, the revenue has increased to about 77% in India, where there is a 50:50 joint venture strategy with the consumer products from Tata. A report from ICICI Securities suggests that with solid performance coupled with an improving acceptance of the brand, Tata Starbucks is going to be a major urbanized brand in India.

The highest number of stores were opened between the months of January to March when there was a revenue increase of about 32%. Cities like Jaipur, Siliguri, Trivandrum, Goa, Bhubaneshwar, Nashik, and Guwahati are some of the cities where stores have recently been opened. 

Money is also coming from other beverages like Tea, which has been there in the market for a long time in the FMCG industry. Tata’s consumer products account for about 22.2% of the market share in India. 

Meanwhile, Tata Salt has a distribution base of about 2.55 million and reaches over 200 million houses in India. An increase of 17% in terms of value and 8% in terms of growth in volume has been the case for Tata Salt.
