In the year 2014, the master blaster along with another entrepreneur Prasad V Potluri obtained ownership of Kerala Blasters, the Kochi-based franchise of ISL. Later in the year 2015, Prasad V Potluri sold his share, making Sachin the owner of a 40% stake in the franchise. However, in the year 2018, Sachin sold his share too as he discovered that his stakes in the franchise, were no longer economically viable.
