Bengaluru-based electric bike manufacturer Oben Electric has raised an aggregate of ₹100 crore through the Series A Investment. The company closed an additional ₹50 crore in May 2025, in addition to the ₹50 crore raised in January of this year. With this Series A, the company’s total cumulative funding has reached ₹200 crore. According to the company statement.
The most recent round of capital came from new and existing investors. New participants in this investment round included Helios Holdings, the Sharda family office, and the Kay family. The company said this demonstrated a strong faith in the business growth and product quality.
Growth Prospects
Oben Electric will use the funds to grow its business in four ways:
- Opening more than 150 showrooms in more than 50 cities in India by FY26.
- Increasing production and capacity in its Bengaluru factory.
- Enhancing after-sales service and support.
- Accelerating the project for a new low-cost electric bike called O100, priced below ₹1 lakh.
Since its first round of funding, Oben has already made good progress. It has opened a total of 37 showrooms across 26 cities in 13 states in total including Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, and Odisha.

Oben’s flagship model, the Rorr, and its more affordable variant, the Rorr EZ, have gained popularity among urban commuters. Priced at ₹99,999, the Rorr EZ accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, reaches a top speed of 95 km/h, and offers an impressive IDC range of up to 175 km on a single charge. It runs on high-performance LFP battery packs, known for their long life, safety, and ability to withstand diverse weather conditions.
What’s Next
Later in 2025, Oben Electric plans to raise $30 million in Series B funding to help their brand expand to more countries and more products. Oben Electric’s aim is to become a truly global electric bike brand that is “Designed in India for the World.”
