NEW DELHI: Hoichoi, a video streaming service, and JioSaavn, music, and audio streaming service, have collaborated on a bundle that will make both of their offerings available on the former’s platform. The annual bundle will provide users with access to JioSaavn’s audio streaming catalogue as well as regional entertainment content – such as popular Bengali movies and original shows – on the Hoichoi platform.

Both OTT services will be available in a 12-month bundle deal at a 30 percent discount, allowing users to stream music from over 80 million tracks and access over 2,000 hours of movies, original series, films, docu-series, and more, according to a statement from the two companies.

According to the two companies, the collaboration will drive organic subscription growth for both platforms while adding value to their end-users by offering a deeper, more differentiated range of streaming content, making it a win-win proposition for all stakeholders. Hoichoi has recently collaborated with national brands looking to tap deeper into regional Bengali-dominated markets and vernacular consumers, while regional brands have partnered with JioSaavn to make Hoichoi accessible and reach a wider audience base.

“At hoichoi, we have always been enthusiastic about expanding our user base and providing differentiated content to our existing users in collaboration with brands that share our goals.” I believe that this collaboration with JioSaavn has the potential to generate mutually desired engagement and growth. With this strategic brand integration, we intend to present the audience with an appealing package that includes our extensive library of new and existing series, as well as JioSaavn’s vast audio catalogue,” Vishnu Mohta, co-founder– hoichoi, said in a statement.

JioSaavn, formerly known as Saavn, is an audio streaming service for South Asian music and artists that was founded in 2007. Reliance Industries Ltd. purchased a majority stake in JioSaavn in March 2018. In addition to over 80 million tracks in 16 languages, the company has over 900 label partnerships.
