Richard Lobo, former Infosys executive vice president and head of human resources, was hired as Tech Mahindra’s chief people officer on January 3.

Lobo will take on a worldwide position as part of Tech Mahindra‘s ongoing leadership restructuring under new CEO Mohit Joshi.

Richard is set to lead the #HR charter at @Tech_Mahindra, bringing over 25 years of experience in HR transformation, employee experience, diversity, and inclusion. Based on our people-first principles, we’ll continue to scale people processes, drive sustainable growth, and create an unparalleled working environment together,” Tech Mahindra stated in a post on X.

Lobo is a former colleague of Joshi’s and an Infosys veteran, having spent over 22 years with the IT services behemoth. He left Infosys in August to serve as an HR consultant and strategic adviser at the beleaguered ed-tech startup BYJU’s.

Welcome aboard, Richard,” Joshi said as he re-shared the message. Your people-first approach to empowering organizations in the modern world of work and your enthusiasm for developing young leaders will be a driving force in determining our future. “We look forward to helping #TechMahindraOnwardsAndUpwards.

Peeyush Dubey, a former LTI chief marketing officer (CMO), was recently named Tech Mahindra’s CMO.

Harshvendra Soin was the CHRO and head of marketing at Tech Mahindra before Joshi’s restructuring. Soin will go to Australia to oversee the combined Asia Pacific and Japanese companies once this function is separated.

Restructuring at Tech Mahindra

During its second-quarter results call in October, Joshi disclosed the restructuring plan. Joshi said that instead of Tech Mahindra’s prior geography-focused structure, the business would now concentrate on vertical delivery. The new CEO has established six distinct business units: Americas Communication, Americas Technology Media, Americas Diversified, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), APJ (Asia Pacific and Japan), and India.
