Zuckerberg introduced ‘Meta’ at Facebook Connect 2021, the company’s annual developer conference.

As stated in a Founder’s letter by Zuckerberg on October 28, 2021, it is disclosed that the standout and the describing quality of the metaverse will be a “feeling of presence” delivering the experience of a user being there with another person in another place. He said feeling undeniably present with another person is the ultimate dream of social technology.

He further informed that the metaverse will allow people to do almost anything one can imagine including experiences like getting together with friends and family, work, learn, shop, play, create, as well as delivering new experiences that do not align with the people’s view on computers and phones presently.

He further added that the company has also made a film that makes people familiar with how one might use the metaverse one day.
