Excel Entertainment, the renowned production house owned by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, has announced the appointment of Vishal Ramchandani as their new Chief Executive Officer. Having been with the company since 2008, Ramchandani has previously served as the business head since 2018. The company is well-known for producing hit films like Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do, and Gully Boy.

Ramchandani, who holds an MBA, began his film career as a marketing professional at Excel Entertainment. Over the years, he has successfully led campaigns for movies such as Fukrey, Baar Baar Dekho, Gold, and Gully Boy. Within just five years of joining the company, He was given the duty of leading Excel’s marketing section in 2013 after only five years of employment.

In a statement released by the company, it was stated that as Business Head, Ramchandani played a pivotal role in transforming Excel Entertainment from a creative production house to a studio that self-funds, markets, and distributes its films. Under his leadership, the company expanded into multilingual content like the KGF franchise, and ventured into different verticals such as talent division, co-production deals, new media ventures, and pan-India films.

In addition to films, the company also ventured into music production and created the popular music band Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
