Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Hyundai Motor India Limited and SML Mahindra Limited have reported June 2026 sales today, with Maruti Suzuki crossing 2 lakh units and Hero MotoCorp closing its first quarter of FY27 with 23% dispatch growth.

Maruti Suzuki sales rise 19% on UV, compact car demand

Maruti Suzuki sold 2,00,390 units in June 2026, up from 1,67,993 units a year earlier, comprising domestic sales of 1,50,150 units, sales to other OEMs of 7,472 units and exports of 42,768 units. Utility vehicle sales climbed to 61,726 units from 47,947 units, while the mini segment (Alto, S-Presso) nearly doubled to 11,416 units. 

Total domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 1,47,187 units against 1,18,906 units a year ago. Q1 FY27 sales came in at 6,82,724 units against 5,27,861 units last year.

Hero MotoCorp: June dispatches dip slightly, Q1 momentum strong

Hero MotoCorp dispatched 5,41,159 units in June 2026, against 5,53,963 units a year earlier, comprising 4,78,701 motorcycles and 62,458 scooters. 

Exports rose 33% to 38,269 units, while domestic VAHAN retail registrations were up around 18% to 4.66 lakh units. Q1 FY27 dispatches stood at 16,77,313 units, up 23% year-on-year. The company cited strong scooter growth and demand for the newly launched Super Splendor XTEC 2.0. VIDA, its EV unit, logged 21,812 VAHAN registrations, up 185% year-on-year, and the company launched its first flex-fuel motorcycles during the month.

Mahindra: SUV, tractor and CV sales all in double digits

Mahindra’s overall auto sales stood at 1,06,207 vehicles, up 37% including exports. Domestic UV sales rose 28% to 60,393 units and domestic CV sales rose 35% to 26,076 units. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, said the numbers reflect all-round demand across the portfolio. 

The Farm Equipment Business sold 58,177 tractors domestically, up 12%. Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, said government interventions such as fertilizer subsidies are expected to cushion El Niño-related risk this Kharif season. The Trucks & Buses business, including SML Mahindra, sold 3,249 vehicles, up 5%. Vinod Sahay, Executive Chairman of SML, said fuel price increases have tempered fleet expansion despite infrastructure-led demand.

SML Mahindra separately reported total sales of 1,930 units, up 3%, with passenger vehicle sales rising 13% to 1,575 units and cargo vehicle sales falling 26% to 355 units.

HMIL reported total monthly sales of 51,335 units, comprising domestic sales of 39,635 units and exports of 11,700 units, after a fire at a supplier’s facility caused a production loss of 13,900 units. 

Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, HMIL, said the company sourced parts from alternative locations and has returned to normal production across its facilities since June 22, with the lost volume expected to be recovered within Q2 of FY26-27.
