The much-awaited three-day Global Investors Summit (GIS 2023), which aims to give the Uttar Pradesh government’s pursuit of general development a boost, will begin on Friday in Lucknow.

Prior to the Global Investors Summit (GIS 2023), the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) received investments totaling Rs 3 trillion from 53 districts, 10 states, and four foreign nations. These investments will also result in the creation of 9 lakh jobs for young people in Uttar Pradesh.

The Yogi Adityanath-led administration, according to the authorities, “is optimistic with UPSIDA as investment set by Yogi government is three times higher than the aim of Rs 1 trillion.”

One of the investment ideas received is a 90,000 crore rupee foreign capital investment from nations like the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UAE.

Authorities received investments of Rs. 1.53 trillion from various Indian states, according to officials. The investments that are being suggested, meantime, include a variety of industries, including those related to health, hospitality, logistics parks, warehouses, and industrial units.

“An investment of Rs 82,000 crore will be made for developing logistics parks and warehouses alone,” the authorities continued.

The investor meetings held in Prayagraj, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Agra, Bareilly, Meerut, Kanpur, and Ayodhya received investment proposals worth a total of Rs. 33703 crore, Rs. 23000 crore, Rs. 92,000 crore, Rs. 39,038 crore, Rs. 34,000 crores, Rs. 17,000 crores, Rs. 70,000 crores, and Rs. 17,000 crores, respectively, according to the official statement.

According to Mayur Maheshwari, the CEO of UPSIDA, “Investment-related MoUs are consistently being inked. All parties that have signed the MoU will have access to the land. To guarantee that there are no obstacles to investment, full cooperation will be provided.”

Notably, the three-day Global Investors Summit 2023, which will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will begin on Friday.

Policymakers, business executives, academics, think tanks, and international leaders will all come together at the flagship investment conference of the UP government to jointly explore commercial prospects and form alliances.

There will be 34 sessions held in all at the summit. The first day will have 10 sessions, the second, 13, and the last, 11, respectively.

The opening session of the summit will feature speeches from the Prime Minister, Rajnath Singh, the Minister of Defense, Yogi Adityanath, the Minister of State for Industrial Development, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and businessmen Mukesh Ambani, K. Chandrasekaran, Kumar Mangalam Birla, and Anand Mahindra.

President Droupadi Murmu will attend the closing ceremony as the main guest.
