Maruti Suzuki is expanding its SUV offering in India by introducing two new SUVs,a new Baleno-based SUV named Fronx and the new 5-door Jimny. Pre-booking for both have begun and the Fronx will go on sale by April 2023.

We are delighted to present two new SUVs today, the new sporty compact SUV Fronx will set the trend for the shape of new SUVs in the country and the much-awaited Jimny with its legendary off-road prowess will be greeted with the same enthusiasm as our much-loved SUVs, Grand Vitara and Brezza.”
Specifications of the new Fronx:
The sporty compact SUV Fronx will introduce a new design trend in the country’s SUV segment. The car features a sporty and aerodynamic silhouette that gives it a muscular stance. It has alloy wheels with geometric precision cut features full LED connected RCL.
The interior of the new Maruti car resembles the Baleno. The majority of the bits have been lifted off the Baleno including the dashboard, features, and seating.
The features include a head-up display with turn-by-turn navigation, 360 view camera, a wireless charger, 9 inch HD Smart play pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, and android auto connectivity.
On the mechanical front, the vehicle sources power from two engine options- one is 1 litre K-series Turbo Boosterjet engine featuring Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. It will be available with a choice of 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The other one is the Advanced 1.2 litre K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine offering Idle Start-Stop technology and 5-speed manual and AGS transmission options.
For the safety purpose the vehicle comes equipped with six airbags, three point ELR seat belts, ESP with Hill hold assist and roll over mitigation, ABS with EBD and brake assist.
The Fronx is available in 5 variants, including Sigma, Alpha, Zeta, Delta, Delta+. The SUV is offered in 5 mono-tone and 3 dual-tone colours to choose from, including Arctic White, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver.
