Dr. Avinash Talele, one of the best medical oncologists in our country, thought similarly about the extreme mental turmoils that a family and patient have to surpass during a cancer treatment. He transformed healthcare from being ‘hospital-centric’ to ‘patient-centric’. Looking into the education of Dr. Avinash Talele started his oncology journey at the Tata Memorial Centre, where he gained invaluable experience in managing complex cancers and understanding the human side of oncology. Furthermore, he went on to pursue his DM in Medical Oncology from the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Ahmedabad, where he was honoured with a Gold Medal for academic excellence.
The success of Restora Oncocare Center lies in the leadership vision of Dr. Avinash, who shaped the center to look beyond a patient’s remission reports and hold them in their treatment and recovery phase, while they gradually return to their lives with a smile. Restora Oncocare Center focused on precision-based cancer care, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, molecular tumor boards, genetic counselling, and holistic survivorship programs. Alongside leading a multidisciplinary team at Restora Oncocare, Dr. Avinash Talele has been part of more than 300 research papers in oncology and presented the findings of a Phase III clinical trial at the prestigious ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) platform. In the following years, Dr. Avinash is set to build the center as a comprehensive oncology ecosystem that looks into early detection, advanced treatments, molecular tumor boards, genetic counselling, emotional wellness programs, and survivorship care.
