According to a recent study, 71% of job applicants in India choose work flexibility above pay, including the ability to work from anywhere and flexibility over schedule and breaks.

career platform Indeed, according to the most recent poll, close to 70% of job searchers in the nation are open to working remotely or in hybrid environments. And around 67% of job searchers in India take the pay package into account. This covers the pay, perks, health coverage, family leave guidelines and additional training and development opportunities offered by the employer.

The majority of job searchers (63%) want to work in a hybrid environment, which allows them to work from home occasionally and from an office other days, according to the report. Greater flexibility is more likely to be provided by larger organizations, according to 51% of employers.

According to the Indeed poll, job searchers want greater openness and clarity on the position and the interview process. They are also worried about the impartiality of the procedure, including any potential racial, gender, or other types of prejudice. According to the poll, only 15% of job searchers reported hearing back from recruiters within 10 to 15 business days, while 63% waited longer

In blue-collar jobs, 82% of employees believe that fair pay is what they seek in new positions, along with physical safety for 73% of them. Approximately 49% of blue-collar employees desire to reduce physical and mental strain at work.

The study comprised 1,810 people in total, including 561 employers and 1,249 job seekers.

The foundations of fintech have been shaken over the past 12 months; in May, Swedish BNPL fintech Klarna cut 10% of its workforce, and in November, Stripe announced it was cutting 14% of its workforce, which will affect about 1,120 of the fintech leader’s 8,000 employees. 

Despite these eye-catching statistics, the sector’s future looks promising for 2023 thanks to the emergence of B2B fintech.
