Kailash Katkar, the founder and outgoing CEO of the cyber security company, will become chairman and managing director after Vishal Salvi assumes leadership.
Infosys, an Indian IT services company, has lost another member of its C-suite. Chief Information Strategy Officer (CISO) Vishal Salvi left the business to become the new CEO of cybersecurity firm Quickheal.
With regard to this development, Quickheal stated, “Salvi’s extensive expertise in cybersecurity and information technology has been honed through various leadership roles at renowned organizations such as Infosys, PwC, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Global Trust Bank, Development Credit Bank, and Crompton Greaves.”
Salvi, who has more than 29 years of expertise in the industry, spent the previous seven years as Infosys’ CISO.
“I am immensely thrilled to lead this amazing team into the future. Quick Heal has established a strong reputation as a trusted leader in the cybersecurity field. I am totally committed to the shared aim of making cyber safety a fundamental right for all, Vishal Salvi said in a statement following his appointment, given the constantly changing nature of cyber threats and the crucial necessity of prioritizing digital security.
The founder and departing CEO of the cyber security company, Kailash Katkar, will transition to the role of Chairman and Managing Director after Salvi assumes leadership.
“Our team has devoted countless hours to developing reliable cybersecurity solutions, and I am incredibly proud of the enormous business value we have produced for all stakeholders. I have no doubt that Quick Heal will keep securing people, groups, and countries as long as client centricity and innovation serve as our guiding principles. We are completely committed to revolutionizing the cybersecurity ecosystem in India and securing our place on the global map, said Kailash Katkar, who serves as our CEO with Vishal Salvi.
Salvi continued, “I am enthusiastic to drive development, cultivate an innovation-friendly culture, and offer unparalleled value to our stakeholders and customers. We will work together to make the internet safe for everyone.
This is not the first time in recent memory that a senior official has departed the IT firm. Mohit Joshi, the president of Infosys, departed the organization earlier this year to become the CEO of Tech Mahindra. Prior to that, President Ravi Kumar S became CEO of Cognizant. Sudip Singh left before that in order to become the CEO of Infotech.
