Price increases for Tata Motors’ passenger cars are intended to partially offset rising input costs. Tata Motors has increased the price of passenger vehicles, increasing the price of cars starting today. Its vehicle’s price increase is intended to partially offset an increase in input costs.

In an official statement, Tata Motors claimed that due to regulatory changes and an increase in overall input costs, the firm has been bearing a sizable amount of the increased expenditures. As a result, it is required to transfer some proportion via this raise.

The transition to BS6 Phase 2 emission requirements, which went into effect on April 1, 2023, is what caused the price increase. All automakers are working to release models that are compatible with E20 fuel, which will raise the cost of the vehicles.

After an increase in February, this will be the company’s second price rise for its passenger automobiles. The company raised costs by an average of 1.2% throughout its lineup of passenger cars with internal combustion engines (ICEs).

Tata Motors revealed price increases of up to 5% for its commercial cars last month. Popular automobile models from Tata Motors like the Tiago, Tigor, Punach, Harrier, Nexon, and Safari will increase in price as of May 1.
