The path towards home leaving behind the day’s hard work and meeting deadlines have a feeling like no other. It is our home and the family that draws the utmost attention to our hearts. Businesses build legacies and the product creates relationships that could last a lifetime. As one of the best emerging business magazines, Business Outreach has had the opportunity to build not only some of the best editions in the business world, but worked towards preserving long-lasting relationships with our clients.
And this time it’s not different. This time our pen could not hold itself back from featuring Partha Pratim Chakraborty, one of the distinguished benchmark-setters in the real estate industry. Partha Pratim Chakraborty is the Managing Director of SREEVEN Group, which is currently focusing on Low Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) clients.
Looking back into the beginning of his career, Partha Pratim reflects on his first modest project with 6 units. Although the resources were limited and the team was in its grass-root phase, SREEVEN Group moved mountains to construct the first one with phenomenal industry ethics, elegant architecture and top-quality material. And about seven years have passed, SREEVEN Group, under the leadership of Partha Pratim Chakraborty, has kept on upping their standards, always staying on their ‘A-game’. SREEVEN Group is one of the most trustworthy and reliable construction companies in the suburbs of Kolkata.
If we ask Partha Pratim on what struck him to choose a path of entrepreneurship, he took us back a few years, when he ideated a life of self-dependant and total autonomy. Earlier he used to assist in his father’s law firm and also work at his uncle’s business supplying steel and fabricated MS structures to real estate projects in Kolkata. He opens up about the fact that his uncle, the CHAIR Emeritus of SREEVEN Group, has played a pivotal role in building his leadership excellence in this competitive industry.
The real estate industry perceived by Partha Pratim is an extremely people-centric sector. The quality of a product being delivered by a developer, adhering to the regulations of RERA. Interestingly enough, through their vlogging partner ‘Acres and Beyond’, SREEVEN Group is also educating people about real estate while exposing industry malpractices, making sure their audience is informed and empowered. SREEVEN Group has surpassed several phases in this industry encompassing economic volatility, geo-political challenges, pandemic and consistent technological upgrades like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and sustainable building materials. Partha says that it is crucial to study the market and keep SREEVEN above the trends, be it achieving net-zero goals, empowering green energy implementation to projects or keep on enhancing the overall quality of projects.
The real estate industry was affected the most during the pandemic. When the storm hits, you can either seek shelter or find a new direction. That’s what Partha did when the pandemic hit the industry. Despite COVID-19 causing the closure of thousands of companies, he saw it as an opportunity to innovate amidst adversity. Despite industry challenges, SREEVEN group navigated the chaos successfully. With a resourceful team and experienced mentors post pandemic SREEVEN group kept on adding feathers to the wings with one project after another in such difficult times, which shows its resilience and commitment. To look into broader challenges, there were fluctuating interest rates which raised borrowing costs for both buyers and developers. Adding to that rising inflation rates and geo-political instability came in the way of business scalability. In spite of the fact that SREEVEN came head on with demonetization just after the second project along with a massive pandemic,
Looking into business numbers, SREEVEN group has announced plans to invest ₹100 crore by 2030 in residential, retail and office projects in Kolkata and its suburbs, with a significant portion allocated to residential development. The company’s ‘Vision 2025’ is defined by a goal to develop 1 lakh sq. ft. across 150 units/homes by 2025. One from the many good business mindset of SREEVEN Group includes educating customers about housing financing options, including credit risk guarantees and other government initiatives like PMAY and CRGF, can help them make informed decisions.
In the following years, noting a few of SREEVEN’s goals are Sustainability and Green Development where a significant emphasis will be placed on environmentally responsible practices. This will include introducing smart home systems for energy management, and superior insulation. Using sustainable and locally sourced building materials to reduce carbon footprint. They will design green spaces, incorporating biodiversity, and focusing on the overall ecological impact of developments. Furthermore, the SREEVEN Group will be seeking green building certifications like LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or equivalent standards among other key metrics. When we asked Partha Pratim on his take on business success, he said, “Don’t be afraid to fail. Every setback is a learning opportunity that will ultimately make you stronger and your business more resilient. To be successful, you must always and consistently put your clients’ best interests first. When you do, your personal needs will be realized beyond your greatest expectations. “
