New Delhi: Oppo India announced on Monday the second edition of its ‘Oppo Elevate’ program for startups, in collaboration with Microsoft, to further empower the country’s startup ecosystem.

Oppo India is looking for proposals under two entry categories — Accessible Technology and Digital Health — with a focus on the theme of ‘Virtuous Innovation.’

According to the company, startups from these two categories that share the same goal of using technology and creative inspiration to build a better world can apply to showcase their innovations.

A jury of experts, led by Tasleem Arif, VP and Head, Oppo India, and Madhurima Agarwal, Country Head-India, Microsoft for Startups, among others, will review the proposals.

“The Elevate program allows like-minded new age innovators to use “virtuous innovation” to create technology solutions that benefit people and address social issues,” Arif said.

The first edition of the ‘Oppo Elevate’ program was a huge success, and with the second edition, “we aim to build the innovation in health and accessibility and highlight Indian innovation on a global platform,” Arif said.

The top ten selected startups will have the opportunity to present their proposals to the jury at an event in August of this year.

According to the company, these startups will also be entitled to a collaboration with Oppo for applicable technical discussions and access to facilities (Labs, spaces, Mobile devices) on mutually agreed terms and schedule.

The India jury will select three startups to participate in the global Innovation Accelerator Programme, where they will compete for grants of $46,000 each, as well as additional investment opportunities, technical assistance, research and commercial partnerships, and promotion at global events.

All participants will be invited to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub as part of the program, where eligible startups can receive up to $150K in Azure credits, mentoring and guidance from business and technical experts, and access to world-class developer and productivity tools.

“The collaboration between Oppo India and Microsoft for Startups demonstrates our commitment to boosting the country’s startup innovation and entrepreneurial energy. With the combined resources of both organizations, we hope to assist startups in truly scaling the impact of digital innovation through this program “Agarwal stated.

Oppo’s ground-breaking innovations have helped the company establish itself as a tech innovator over the years.

By providing a palatial platform for start-ups to collaborate, Oppo Elevate will assist the brand in harnessing the power of innovation. The Oppo Elevate program will assist young startups with some incredibly interesting ideas in entering a rapidly growing ecosystem of innovation through a strong partnership.

Applications for the second edition of the ‘Oppo Elevate’ program are being accepted until July 10.
