India to escalate a position as a Global Leader in Artificial Intelligence

Addressing a virtual FICCI event, Niti Aayog CEO- Amitabh Kant noted that, “India today is well-positioned to become a global leader in artificial Intelligence. “

India today is in a strong position to lead itself as a global leader in AI and the tech world. India has the third-largest system in the world and we have the talent and now data system to build AI ecosystems, delivered by CEO Kant. Kant further added that India needs to adopt AI and accelerate its overall sectors. AI has been begetting leadership in the last few years and it is a game-changer and modifying. Being a data-rich country it is equally important for being a more data exceptional nation. The Niti Aayog CEO further said that AI will have a significant force on the defence sector and prove to be a vital technology for air fighters. 

Recently, Anant Maheshwari, president of Microsoft India spoke about the tremendous opportunities for India to possess a position as a global hub for data and artificial intelligence(AI), enabling investment, jobs and innovation. 

In a growing tech world, Data and AI are encouraging us to transform centre sectors like healthcare, citizen services, agriculture and production, with agility and scale. Although there is a firm and compelling need to build a committed and reliable ecosystem to drive this reform. Where there is still a lack of trust in a digital world, there is an absolute need for secured digital and data ecosystems to proceed to develop securely.

This enhancement of Artificial Intelligence will lead to the bonding of powerful cooperation among the government and industry will contribute to establishing a trustworthy tech ecosystem floored in trust and strong ethical policies.

With an affirmative statement, Kant concluded by saying,” For India to maximise the leveraging of AI tools, we need to cultivate and harness our biggest asset which is the human capital. The New Education Policy is a great enabler with special emphasis on skill. “
