The Chairman and The Managing Director of HUL, Sanjiv Mehta will take over as the president of FICCI.

The CMD of Hindustan Unilever, Sanjiv Mehta, will succeed Uday Shankar, the current president of FICCI, on Dec 18, 2021. The commerce graduate has done Chartered Accountancy and later, completed an advanced management programme from Harvard Business School.

Apart from being the chairman of HUL, Mehta also works as the vice president of The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). FICCI announced in the official statement that Mehta will take over as the president after the association completes its 94th Annual General Meeting which is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2021. 

He is the chairman of Unilever South Asia (including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal) and is a member of the Unilever’s global executive board called Unilever Leadership Executive. He has worked with Unilever for 28 years now, and at least for the last 19 years, has been heading the business in different parts of the globe.
