Farhan wishes to be a wildlife photographer but is pursuing an engineering degree in order to accomplish his father’s wish, whereas Raju needs to look after his family’s finances and his old father’s health, and Rancho studies for the joy of building machines. Rancho has a different way of seeing the world.

His professors don’t seem to like him because of his creative and unusual answers. They consider him and his friend’s idiots. Years after graduating he goes missing. In search of him, the two friends revisit the college and recall him, the memories they made, and the way he inspired them.  And when his friends get the news of him being found,  they get to know that he is one of the greatest scientists in the world.

This job reveals to him that honesty is NOT the best policy; and since he abides by the same honesty principle, he gets treated as a ‘Joker Sardar. He gets mocked by his superiors and fellow colleagues alike. His yearning to make a name for himself thrills him to partner with four other employees from the company, with the names Girish Reddy, Koena Shaikh, Chhotelal Mishra, and Nitin Rathore, which leads to the establishment of a fabricated organization – ‘Rocket Sales Corporation.

 The story is about four ordinary youth, Karan, Bulbul, Zing, and Chand,  who after graduating from college decide to begin a “business” by illegally importing foreign goods to India, and hence evading the heavy import taxes.  They named their venture “Friends and Company”. They go ahead to make great wealth by smuggling costly foreign goods from Bangkok. Later the government in India decides to lower import duty on foreign goods, and therefore friends decide to go to America. The love story of  Karan and Bulbul begins, but Karan’s greed increases and the group starts to split. Zing felt humiliated by Karan and therefore he left followed by Chandu who wanted to settle down. Later Karan gets arrested, and get released after 6 months. Taking this as a lesson he starts leading an honest life. He saves his uncle from a critical financial loss, and in this process, gains back Zing’s and Chandu’s confidence. The movie comes to an end with “Friends and Company” becoming a public sector company and Karan achieving his dream.

The movie is about the life of Sid, a boy belonging to a rich family. He was lazy and an average student in college and only enjoyed hanging around with friends.  Only after leaving his house, because of some arguments with his father,  did he realize and face the real struggles and challenges of a middle-class family. After a series of events, Sid realized his potential and capability in the world and became victorious in the quickly developing life of Mumbai.
