Aman Gupta is an Indian entrepreneur who co-founded and serves as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of boAt. The boAt is an earwear audio brand that sells everything from headphones to portable chargers. Aman founded the company with his business partner, Sameer Mehta, in 2016.

Early life and professional career

He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management the same year. Following that, he worked as the director of sales at HARMAN International, where he oversaw the business development of brands such as Apple, Nokia, and Micromax in the Indian market. Finally, in 2016, he and Sameer Mehta founded boAt.


The company made Rs 100 crores in sales in its first two years of operation. boAt’s very first product was an Apple charging cord and charger. The Apple charger quickly became the best-selling item on Amazon. In 2019, it surpassed Apple as the leading brand in the earwear category. Aman Gupta was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Consumer Durables category in 2020. Today, the firm operates around 5,000 outlets across the country.
