30 Sundays funding

Gurugram-based AI-native holiday planning and booking platform 30 Sundays has raised Rs 61 crore (~$6.7 million) in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures increasing their stake, the company has announced.

The round takes 30 Sundays’ total capital raised to date to approximately $7.5 million.

A full-stack, AI-native journey planner

30 Sundays positions itself as a full-stack journey planner that owns the process across discovery, booking, and an on-trip concierge, replacing what it calls the slow and opaque process of traditional travel agencies with a video-first, conversational interface.

The company said it has built the business in two years with notable capital efficiency, scaling profitably to an annualised gross booking value run-rate of about Rs 200 crore across four destinations: Bali, Vietnam, Maldives, and Thailand.

The company reports an NPS of 67 and a Google rating of 4.6. It was founded by Kshitij Chaudhary (Co-founder and CEO; formerly of BCG, an IIT Delhi alumnus) and Anuj Punjani (Co-founder and CTO; formerly of Apple), with a core team drawn from Flipkart, Jabong, OYO, Travel Triangle, and Shuttl.

“Planning a holiday has too long meant static PDFs, endless follow-ups, and mark-ups you discover only later. We built 30 Sundays to make travel honest and effortless.

Every customer gets a trip designed around them, sees exactly what they’re paying for, and has a guide in their pocket the moment they land,” said Kshitij Chaudhary, Co-founder and CEO, 30 Sundays.

Targeting couples first, AI-driven lean operations

The company is targeting couples as its core segment as it enters the recreational travel market, with plans to expand into adjacent segments such as families travelling with children.

By embedding AI across sales and operations, including lead qualification, itinerary creation, follow-ups, and reservations, the company says its sales team is twice as productive as top competitors and three times as productive as traditional travel agents.

“We have been fortunate to be partners with Kshitij and Anuj since pre-launch and continue doubling down with high conviction. The way they use AI with a human in the loop to customize and support every traveller’s journey has shown remarkable speed of adoption amongst customers. Very few new consumer platforms see their kind of organic and referral numbers so soon,” said Kitty Agarwal, Partner, Info Edge Ventures.

Betting on India’s outbound travel boom

India’s outbound leisure travel market is estimated at around $25 billion and growing at roughly 11.4% annually, driven by an expanding middle class, easing visa norms, and the growth of global low-cost carriers.

“Planning a holiday abroad is one of the most emotional purchases an Indian family makes, yet the experience hasn’t changed in a decade. Kshitij and Anuj have rebuilt it end-to-end: AI handles discovery, planning, and support, while humans step in for the moments that matter. An NPS of 67 and profitable growth in just two years tell you customers feel the difference. We’re proud to partner with 30 Sundays as they make honest, effortless travel the default for Indian couples and families,” said Anant Vidur Puri, Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners.

30 Sundays: Expansion plans

With the fresh capital, 30 Sundays plans to strengthen its product, tech, and AI teams, invest in brand building to drive organic demand, and expand into new geographies. Having recently launched New Zealand and Mauritius, the company is preparing to open Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines.
