Tanla Platforms shares

Hyderabad-based tech company Tanla Platforms Limited has announced its results for the first quarter of FY27 (April to June 2026). The company’s revenue and profit both grew compared to last year, and its share price jumped 13.69% to ₹638.50 on the NSE before 10:30am.

How the company performed

Tanla’s revenue for the quarter was ₹1,226 crore. This was 17.8% higher than the same quarter last year, and 4.1% higher than the previous quarter.

Gross profit was ₹326 crore, up 25.1% from last year. EBITDA, which shows how much money the company makes from its core business before other costs, was ₹201 crore, up 22.7% from last year.

Profit after tax, the amount the company actually keeps after paying all expenses and taxes, was ₹142 crore.

This was 20.1% higher than last year. Each share of the company earned ₹10.77 in profit. The company also generated ₹126 crore in free cash flow, which is cash left over after running the business and investing in it. This was 89% of its profit after tax, which means most of its profit turned into real cash rather than just numbers on paper.

Uday Reddy, Founder Chairman and CEO of Tanla, spoke about the results. He said, “Q1 FY27 is a strong start to the year. Revenue grew 17.8% YoY, with gross profit and EBITDA growing even faster, reflecting an improving quality of growth. Our objective isn’t revenue growth at any cost. It’s profitable growth that consistently converts into cash.”

In simple terms, he means the company is not just trying to grow bigger. It wants to grow in a way that also makes more money and keeps that money as usable cash.

Other news from the quarter

Tanla also shared some other updates from the quarter. The London Business School wrote a case study about Tanla’s Wisely.ai technology, which is used by Indosat, a phone company in Indonesia. This technology helps protect more than 100 million people in Indonesia from spam messages and scam calls.

Tanla also won a Special Recognition award at the IIT Madras Social Impact Awards 2026. This was for its Cyberabad Traffic Pulse project, which is a project the company has worked on before. It had already been recognised for this work at the Global CSR and ESG Awards in 2025.

Tanla was started in 1999. It builds software that helps protect people from spam and scams, and works closely with phone companies around the world. It serves more than 3,200 businesses, including large companies like Google, Meta, and Truecaller. Tanla is listed on two Indian stock exchanges, the NSE under the symbol TANLA, and the BSE under the code 532790.
