Suzlon Group, the top supplier of renewable energy solutions in India, revealed on Wednesday that Vibrant Energy had placed an order for 33 wind turbine generators, including its new 3 MW series with a hybrid lattice tubular tower, for a 99 MW wind power project that is anticipated to be operational by 2024–25 (FY25).

According to a company statement provided to Excha, the order of the larger S144-140m wind turbine model from the new 3 MW series is part of the agreement where Suzlon Energy will supply the wind turbines, provide erection and commissioning services, as well as comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.

CEO of Suzlon Group J. P. Chalasani stated, “We are pleased to announce our first order with Vibrant Energy, a highly regarded provider of corporate renewable energy solutions. This is an important order for us that includes turbines from our 3 MW series. When clients choose Suzlon as a partner in their path towards renewable energy, it gives the company great pride.

The CEO stated that the order is aimed at the commercial and industrial (C&I) customer category, which we believe will be a big contributor to India’s future ambitions for renewable energy. In the years to come, “I look forward to a long partnership with Vibrant Energy towards creating a sustainable India,” he continued.

CEO of Vibrant Energy Srinivasan Viswanathan stated: “We are pleased to cooperate with Suzlon Energy Ltd. for our project, which will deliver 24/7 renewable energy to our corporate clients. Vibrant Energy is a committed partner for corporate consumers, helping them actively achieve their sustainability and decarbonization goals. We are excited to collaborate on many more chances like this one with Suzlon, the top wind turbine manufacturer in India.

According to him, Suzlon’s longstanding dedication to and leadership in green energy in India is consistent with their mission to combat climate change by providing companies with access to sustainable energy options.

The 3 MW series of wind turbines from the Suzlon Group was introduced. The firm said that the series represents an important turning point for the company and the nation’s wind energy industry, with the series’ main goals being to increase generation, lower energy costs, and contribute to an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

According to the manufacturer, the S144 wind turbine generator is one of the biggest in India and can be extended up to 3.15 MW depending on local wind conditions. It has a hub height of 140 meters and will eventually reach 160 meters with serial production.

The aim of Vibrant Energy, a portfolio firm of Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group, is to spearhead corporate renewable energy clients’ decarbonization activities and assist them in achieving a more robust, affordable, and sustainable energy future.
