Similar to the popular chatbot ChatGPT, Inflection’s AI chatbot Pi engages users through dialogues in which they can ask questions and discuss common interests.

The AI business Inflection AI, created by Mustafa Suleyman, a former Deepmind researcher, and Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, has announced the launch of its first AI chatbot product.

Inflection The Pi chatbot, according to AI, is founded on prioritizing human conversations with a high degree of emotional intelligence. AI claimed to have created the technology in-house.

According to Mustafa Suleyman, chief executive and co-founder of Inflection, “We think of Pi as a digital companion on call whenever you want to learn something new when you need a sounding board to talk through a tricky moment in your day, or just pass the time with a curious and kind counterpart.”

Users can communicate with Pi through a variety of channels, such as its website, app, and social media sites like Instagram.

In accordance with its terms of service, Pi trains its AI systems using user data, including conversational content. According to Inflection, their database has not been linked to the internet since November 2022 and was last updated.

Since OpenAI’s ChatGPT first appeared on the scene in November of last year, the market for chatbots powered by generative AI technology has become crowded. Utilizing chatbots like Google’s Bard and Character, large language models, which mine enormous amounts of text to summarise information and produce content. People can have in-depth conversations with AI for both personal and professional purposes.

Inflection was nurtured by Venture Capital firm Greylock, where Hoffman is a partner, and the company oversaw a $250 million investment. In March, Hoffman, who serves on the board of Microsoft as well, announced his resignation from the OpenAI board due to potential conflicts with the AI firms he works with.
