India’s famous online bus booking service AbhiBus has partnered with CheckMyBus, a global travel search engine based in Germany, to enhance bus travel in India for global travelers. By partnering with CheckMyBus, they hope residents of different countries can easily search, compare and book intercity and last-mile bus journeys throughout India.
AbhiBus is operated by ixigo’s bus business and works with more than 4,000 private and bus operators, with routes on approximately 350,000 routes nationally. Through this new partnership, the vast network of AbhiBus is now being made available on CheckMyBus for international users, who can now access real-time bus schedules, prices, operators and related details.
CheckMyBus is a global bus metasearch engine that enables the user to compare bus travel options. It is available in over 90 countries on more than 21 domains and in a dozen languages, and it provides an easy-to-use platform for the traveller to find transport options. With the inclusion of routes in India via AbhiBus passengers will now be able to see Indian bus options alongside other travel modes, providing foreign tourists a better selection for planning their trip.

- Pink Seat – a safety feature for female travelers
- Abhi Assured – assured delivery on time and safe.
These features have been introduced to enhance customer experiences and help develop confidence amongst users. Following this new integration, tourists in India will have the option of travelling further and visiting more destinations using a reliable bus service, including some less known environments in town and rural areas.
The partnership is anticipated to help enhance the tourism industry in India by providing international travellers with a safer and more reliable option for booking buses online, whilst also raising awareness of Indian public bus service operators in India, thereby reaching a larger audience.
