By 2028, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) plans to launch India’s first international space station.

ISRO chairman S. Somnath announced the good news during the Bhartiya Vigyan Sammelan, saying, “In another five years, we will launch our first module of the International Space Station (ISS).”

ISRO Plans

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) intends to launch India’s first international space station, the ‘Bharat Space Station,’ by 2028, with a robotic module following in five years.

The first module will be robotic and weigh eight tons.

A new rocket is also being developed.

Somnath also claimed that ISRO is developing a new rocket capable of carrying loads ranging from 20 to 1,215 tons, as India’s existing rocket can only carry 10 tons.

With plans to send astronauts to orbit as part of the ISS mission by 2035, the ISS will serve as a stepping stone for future expeditions. The latest breakthrough demonstrates India’s dedication to expanding its space exploration capabilities.

The Aditya L-1 mission is scheduled to arrive at its destination on January 6.

Somnath stated about the Aditya L-1 solar mission, “Aditya will reach the L-1 point on January 6.” Everyone will be able to see Aditya enter L-1 on video.”

L-1 (Lagrange Point 1) is around 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.

Somnath stressed that the data obtained by Aditya-L1 over the next five years will be critical not only for India, but for the entire globe, in comprehending the sun’s dynamics and its impact on life.

“Once successfully placed on L1 point, it will remain there for the next five years, gathering all the data that is critical not only for India but for the entire world.” “The data will be extremely useful in understanding the dynamics of the Sun and how it affects our lives,” said ISRO’s chief.

Future Plans

“We are going to build our space station in the amrit kaal of our country over the next 25 years,” he stated. We will travel to Mars, the moon, and Venus many years later.”

“The Chandrayan-3 was not only a technologically significant event, but we did it at a lower cost than the world could ever do,” Somanath stated of the necessity of being a technologically powerful country. This is a quality of this country: if you have the will to do something, you can continue to be a leader.

“The future cannot be built by amassing wealth, assembling a large army, or excelling in business.” We must have knowledge power. The United States is superior because it has the ability to create wealth through technology.”
