Nations are built on the pillars of economic growth, leadership and long-term vision. But at the heart of it all lies education- the catalyst that nurtures these very foundations. Education has the power to shape individuals, uplift communities, and build nations. Knowledge, once instilled, multiplies-creating ecosystems of growth, innovation and progress. Business Outreach Magazine continually seeks out leaders who are doing just that. Today, we’re honoured to feature Angad Bindra, Head of Strategy and Operations at ST Kabir Public School, Karnal.

Angad Bindra comes from a family of armed forces background, instilling in him a deep respect for discipline, service and structure. Having changed eight schools during his childhood, he gained first-hand exposure to varied school environments, cultures, and systems. What might have been disruptive for most, became a source of insight and observation for Angad- giving him a unique understanding of what works and what doesn’t in Indian education. That early lens has shaped much of his work today.
At ST Kabir Public School, where Angad serves as Deputy Director: Head of Strategy and Operations, his role goes far beyond day-to-day operations. He is focused on building systems that not only function well today but sustain excellence into the future. His leadership emphasizes clarity, data-backed decision-making, and system-driven improvement- a departure from the more personality-driven models that traditionally exist in education.
Angad’s journey into school leadership came at an age when many would still be considered too young for such responsibility. In a sector where leadership is often equated with decades of experience, earning respect without demanding it became his first challenge. But over time, scepticism turned into support, as outcomes began speaking louder than assumptions. Staff and stakeholders who were once cautious now walk alongside him- not out of obligation, but shared belief.
ST Kabir Public School was founded in 1977 by Mrs. Nirmajit Chawla, Angad’s grandmother, and holds a legacy of over four decades in K–10 education. As a child, Angad was already helping with school functions, absorbing the rhythm of how a school breathes. That early involvement grew into a clear calling- to build not just one good school, but a model for how schooling can be reimagined.
Academically, Angad holds a law degree from National Law University, Lucknow, and earned his MBA in Strategy & Leadership from O.P. Jindal Global University, where he was awarded the Silver Medal for securing the second-highest cumulative GPA. He is also a CBSE-certified national trainer, having completed the Training of Trainers (ToT) program with ISTM, which allows him to deliver structured teacher training programs aligned with national standards. Among his many academic recognitions, one that stands out is winning 1st Position in the Intra-University Negotiation Competition at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University.
Today, as Head of Strategy and Operations, Angad Bindra oversees systems spanning curriculum delivery, teacher growth, student progress, and parent experience. His most notable innovation is the CLASSIC framework– a simple yet powerful model that brings together curriculum planning, student tracking, and teacher accountability into a single, school-wide structure. This framework not only aligns expectations but builds a consistent culture of execution and ownership across all departments.
Under his leadership, ST Kabir has introduced career-aligned senior secondary streams in Law, Business, and UPSC Foundation- possibly, a first in the region and perhaps among the first in the country. Moving away from conventional subject groupings, these streams reflect the school’s commitment to preparing students for the real-world opportunities of modern India.
The school’s motto, “Better than the Best”, is more than a line- it is a living principle. It pushes students and staff alike to seek daily improvement, not out of competition, but as a habit of growth. This mindset has yielded measurable outcomes: ST Kabir now holds the state record for the highest number of Inspire Award selections in a single cycle- underscoring the school’s commitment to innovation, scientific thinking, and project-based learning. Its recognition under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan further demonstrates its ethos of holistic responsibility.
For Angad, though, the goal has never been awards or attention. His real vision lies far beyond the walls of a single school. He dreams of contributing meaningfully to India’s entire education system-government and private, urban and rural, high-fee and no-fee alike. “It’s not just about 100% literacy,” he says, “but efficient, meaningful literacy- education that empowers, not just qualifies.”
He believes we don’t need to wait for an angel to fall from heaven and fix the system. “We start where we are, with what we have. And when you begin with intent, the world joins in- even after you’re gone.”
In his words and his work, Angad Bindra reflects a new kind of leadership- young but grounded, visionary but practical, bold yet deeply empathetic. As India moves toward becoming a global leader, it is minds like his, working quietly through schools like ST Kabir, that are shaping its most powerful foundation: its people.
