A seminar on port-led development will take place in Gujarat on January 11th. The seminar’s theme is “Port-Led City Development in Gujarat: A Vision for the Future,” and it will be held on January 11 at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’

The forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, set for 10 January 2034, will showcase “Gujarat’s Roadmap for Viksit Bharat@2047,” according to Rakesh Shankar, Secretary of Planning at the General Administration Department.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, according to the official, intends to generate ideas that will help establish the state’s blueprint for Viksit Bharat @2047 across a variety of issues.

Gujarat has a large coastal strip with multiple ports that facilitate exports and imports.

The conference will also look into options for public-private partnerships, investments, and collaborations to help accelerate port-led city development.

Furthermore, the conference intends to encourage an exchange of ideas among significant stakeholders, thereby defining the trajectory of Gujarat’s progress in the coming years.

According to the official, the event would stimulate collaborative deliberations across numerous issues and chapters by bringing together global industry stakeholders, experts, and key people.

According to Mint, “There will be two technical sessions, namely, The first technical session will be a panel discussion on ‘Gujarat’s Vision for 2047: “Living Well” with a focus on health, education, and “Nari Shakti”: Women Led Development. “Technical session 2 will be a panel discussion on Gujarat’s Vision for 2047: “Earning well” with a focus on the vision for a $3.5 trillion state economy, scope for agriculture and allied sectors, industries, and services for the future, and creating a robust infrastructure of global standards,” Shankar added.

He went on to say that the seminar’s goal is to bring together notable national and international leaders, government officials, and essential stakeholders.

BVR Subrahmanyam, the CEO of NITI Ayog; Adil Zainulbhai, the Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission; Cynthia McCaffrey, the UNICEF India Representative; Chetna Gala Sinha, the Founder and Chairperson of Mann Deshi Bank; Janmejaya Sinha, the Chairperson, MD, and Senior Partner of BCG India; and Professor Ramesh Chand, a Member of NITI Ayog, will all be present at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.

According to ANI, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sabarnanda Sonowal, Belgian Ambassador Didier Vanderhasselt, and Dutch Ambassador Didier Vanderhasselt Marisa Gerards, envoys from Bhutan and Nepal, are expected to speak at the opening session.
