Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur asked the aviation minister to intervene, accusing the duty manager of Akasa Air and his friends of plotting to cause her a great loss.

The leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Lok Sabha, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, attacked Akasa Air on February 16 and said that the airline’s duty manager and his friends plotted to ruin her. Lok Sabha member Thakur, who represents the Bhopal constituency, has asked the aviation minister to investigate the event.

“When I came to Delhi from Mumbai to Delhi @AkasaAir by flight number QP1120, Duty Manager Imran and his associates conspired and tried to cause a huge loss to me,” tweeted Thakur on X (previously Twitter), citing Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. I’m hoping you’ll act with determination. “Jai Shri Ram.”

In response to the accusations, Akasa Air responded on February 16 and stated that it would conduct a thorough investigation into the “deboarding experience” of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a member of the Lok Sabha and leader of the BJP, at the Delhi airport.

“We express apologies for the deboarding experience that Hon. Ms. Pragya Thakur, a member of Parliament, had on February 15, 2024, on our aircraft QP1120. We are sorry if we offended her in any way. An Akasa Air representative said in a statement to news agency PTI, “We consider this as an opportunity to learn and to continue improving on our services, even though we will thoroughly investigate the event.

Thakur was held accountable for causing a SpiceJet aircraft delay earlier in 2019. According to SpiceJet, BJP MP Pragya Thakur was requested to transfer from her wheelchair-bound seat to a non-emergency row seat by the crew on a Delhi-Bhopal aircraft, but she refused, resulting in a delay in the flight. In the meantime, some travelers asked Thakur to move from the emergency row—which isn’t designated for wheelchair users—to a non-emergency row, and others asked the crew to discharge her since she wouldn’t move. up the end, the Bhopal BJP MP gave up and took the seat on a non-emergency basis.

According to PTI, She said that the airline employees “did not behave properly with passengers” when she was approached by media outside the Bhopal airport. “The seat I reserved was not given to me. They were asked to display the rules. I made a complaint with the director over the phone,” she had stated.
