According to South Western Railway (SWR), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate Karnataka’s second Vande Bharat Express, which runs between Bengaluru and Dharwad, today. On June 19, the fast train successfully conducted a trial run from KSR Bengaluru station to Dharwad and returned.

Given that they were constructed in-country, the Vande Bharat Express trains are a great accomplishment for India. They are high-speed, automated train units. With state-of-the-art amenities, these trains provide a faster, more pleasant, and surprisingly convenient travel experience.

With cutting-edge passenger facilities, Vande Bharat Express will provide train travelers with a quicker, more pleasant, and more convenient travel experience.

Indian Railways runs the Vande Bharat Express, a short-distance train service that links key Indian cities in less than a day. The operational speed of the services is restricted to 160 km/h (99 mph) on the Delhi-Bhopal line and 110–130 km/h (68–81 mph) on other services, although the trainsets can sustain semi-high speeds.

Following the Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai Vande Bharat train, which was introduced in November of the previous year and was the first for southern India, this introduction marks the second Vande Bharat train that PM Modi has officially launched in Karnataka, according to HT.

Timing

On June 27, at 10:30 am, the Dharwad-KSR Bengaluru Inaugural Special (train number 07305) will be flagged off from Dharwad and go towards KSR Bengaluru. On the 350 km segment of the 489 km route during the trial run, the fast train reached speeds of up to 110 km/hour.

Eight carriages make up this train, which will travel 490 km in 6 hours, 13 minutes. The train will leave Bengaluru at 5:45 in the morning and reach Dharwad Railway Station at 11:58 in the morning. According to Zed News, the train’s 78.82 mph average speed would cut the distance between Bengaluru and Dharwad by at least one hour.

Stops:

Once it begins regular service, the air-conditioned chair cars and executive carriages on the train will only stop at Yeshwantpur, Davangere, and Hubballi. Commercial stops will be at Yeshwantpur, Davanagere, and Hubballi, while KSR Bengaluru will handle the bulk of the maintenance.

The fast train would link significant Karnataka cities like Dharwad, Hubballi, and Davangere with Bengaluru six days a week, except Tuesdays. According to a statement by the Prime Minister’s office, this would provide a quicker option to the route’s current trains, which will be very beneficial to visitors, students, industrialists, and others in the area.

Costs of tickets:

The cost of a ticket on the Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express is anticipated to be between 1,205 and 2,395 for the executive chair car class. The prices also include catering costs.
