Since the release of ChatGPT in November of last year, generative AI has taken center stage, with major technology businesses building solutions to keep up with the current technological trend. AI is going to Impact Gmail.

Gmail is a popular email service supplied by Google that has evolved into an indispensable tool for companies. It includes spam filtering, search functions, and interaction with other Google services like as Google Drive and Google Calendar. Businesses may now manage their emails, organize appointments, and collaborate on projects more easily.

Gmail also offers organizations a safe platform for communicating and sharing sensitive information. It has transformed the way organizations function by improving communication, boosting production, and lowering expenses. Gmail has become a vital tool for organizations of all sizes due to its simple design and dependable performance.

Google discussed how it is incorporating Artificial Intelligence in its products and services at the just finished Google I/O 2023, the company’s largest event of the year.

Google revealed the ‘Help me write’ function in Gmail at the event, which is built on a more powerful generative model. Using the functionality, one may make a complete draught of an email in seconds. To get better outcomes, the feature employs Google’s powerful machine learning algorithms.

“Say you received an email informing you that your flight had been canceled. The airline has issued you a voucher, but you truly need a complete refund. You may respond with “Help me write.”

Next, just put in the prompt of what you want, such as an email requesting a full refund. When you click Create, a complete draught will appear in front of you.

It easily pulls in-flight information from the previous email, it seems to be quite similar to what you wish to convey. If you want to fine-tune the outcome, you may always do so.”

‘Help me write’ will be available in the coming months as part of our Workspace improvements. The capability will most likely be accessible to both online and mobile Gmail users.

Google introduced the Smart Reply functionality to Gmail in 2017. The function provides brief replies that may be selected with a single click. Then there was Smart Compose, which provided writing ideas as one typed in an email.

Smart Compose paved the way for more advanced AI-powered writing features. Over 180 billion times in the last year alone, they’ve been used in Workspace,” the business stated.
