Bharti Airtel, a major telecommunications company in India, announced on Wednesday that it has surpassed 1 million 5G users on its network as Indian carriers roll out 5G services in phases.

The company said, “The milestone was reached within 30 days of commercial launch, despite the network being built.”

Although it is still in its infancy, customer response has been very encouraging. Even though all 5G devices can now operate on Airtel 5G Plus networks, our networks are being built every day. There are a few exceptions that will be made in a few weeks. Randeep Sekon, CTO of Bharti Airtel, said, “We will continue to evolve our network to connect the whole country.

Earlier this month, Airtel launched 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi. Services in these cities will be rolled out in phases while the company continues to build networks and complete rollouts.

It promises clear voice calls and high-speed connections during calls as well as speeds that are 20 to 30 times the current speed. Customers with 5G smartphones will be able to enjoy the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing plans until the launch becomes commonplace.

Airtel has launched 5G services in eight cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Nagpur, and Siliguri. However, only some areas of these cities have mobile sites. The company said these cities are being rolled out in phases as the company continues to build networks and complete rollouts.
