A new camera shortcut for iPhone users is most likely being developed by the Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp.

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is probably working on a feature that will provide iPhone users with a new camera shortcut in their app.

WhatsApp has submitted a fresh update via the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.19.0.75, claims WABetaInfo. The TestFlight build is 22.19.0, and the marked version in WhatsApp Settings is 2.22.19.75.

The camera shortcut is situated within the navigation bar, and a screenshot revealed that it will appear for users who can already form communities in the future.

According to the source, it perfectly resembles the one that was used in the WhatsApp beta for Android (although due to a bug, it was briefly removed in another version).

Because it is still in development, this shortcut is not yet available to users; WhatsApp aims to make it available in a subsequent app update, it added.

In a planned subscription service from WhatsApp for businesses, a report from earlier this month said that the company is developing a new feature that will allow enterprises to manage chats from their connected devices.

Users will be able to use extra features including the capacity to make a unique business connection and link up to 10 devices to their accounts in the future under a new optional subscription plan called WhatsApp Premium.
