EaseMyTrip has added another pair of industry recognitions to its 2026 record as the online travel company continues trying to position itself as more than a flight-booking platform.
Among its major honours this year, the company has been recognised at the ICC Tourism Excellence Awards under the Tour & Travel Operations category and named the Most Trusted B2B Travel Booking Platform with the Best User Experience at the Versatile Excellence Travel Awards.
The awards place attention on two areas EaseMyTrip has been investing in heavily: travel operations and technology-led customer experience.
They also arrive as the company pushes ahead with its broader EaseMyTrip travel-tech strategy, covering hotels, holidays, mobility and international operations alongside its traditional flight-booking business.
EaseMyTrip’s B2B Platform Gets Recognition
One of the notable recognitions came from the Versatile Excellence Travel Awards 2026.
EaseMyTrip received the title of Most Trusted B2B Travel Booking Platform with the Best User Experience.
The award was accepted by Chief Operating Officer Nutan Gupta on behalf of the company.
For EaseMyTrip, the B2B side of the business remains important because the company’s roots go back to serving travel agents before it became a mainstream consumer booking brand.
Its business model has since expanded into direct consumer bookings and corporate travel, but travel-agent distribution remains part of the wider network.
The EaseMyTrip B2B platform is designed to give partners access to booking technology and travel inventory rather than limiting the company’s business to people purchasing tickets directly through its website or app.
ICC Award Focuses on Travel Operations
EaseMyTrip was also recognised at the second ICC Tourism Excellence Awards 2026 under the Tour & Travel Operations category.
That award was presented in March and was also accepted by Nutan Gupta.
The recognition puts the focus on a different side of the business.
Travel technology may attract attention because of apps, artificial intelligence and digital payments, but an online travel company still depends heavily on operational execution.
Bookings need to connect reliably with airlines, hotels, buses and other travel providers. Refunds, itinerary changes and customer support also need to work when travel plans change.
For an OTA, technology is only useful when the underlying travel operation is able to complete what the digital platform promises.
EaseMyTrip Has Built a Large Travel Network
EaseMyTrip started operations in 2008 and initially focused strongly on the B2B2C market, giving travel agents access to airline-ticket inventory.
It entered the direct-to-consumer segment later and subsequently expanded into business travel.
The company’s network has grown considerably since then.
As of March 31, 2026, EaseMyTrip said its platform provided access to more than 400 domestic and international airlines and over 2.3 million hotels in India and overseas.
It also supports railway tickets, buses and taxi rentals.
The company had more than 75,500 registered travel agents across its network at the end of the financial year.
That scale explains why the EaseMyTrip awards 2026 cover both customer-facing technology and travel operations rather than one narrow part of the business.
EaseMyTrip 2.0 Is Pushing Beyond Air Tickets
The company has been describing its newer strategy as EaseMyTrip 2.0.
The idea is to reduce its dependence on air-ticket bookings and build a wider travel and lifestyle ecosystem.
Hotels and holidays have become particularly important. The company has also expanded through acquisitions and investments across hospitality, buses, international travel services, mobility and other adjacent categories.
That includes businesses such as Spree Hospitality, Eco Hotels and Resorts, Dook Travels and several other travel-focused companies.
Rather than operating only as a booking website, EaseMyTrip is trying to participate in more stages of a customer’s journey.
Technology Is Becoming Central to the Strategy
Technology remains one of the main tools behind that expansion.
EaseMyTrip has been increasing its use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis to personalise recommendations and improve how customers search for travel.
The company’s broader technology approach includes predictive recommendations, dynamic pricing support and digital customer-service tools.
For a travel platform, personalisation can be particularly valuable because two people searching for the same destination may have completely different requirements.
A business traveller may prioritise location and flexibility. A family could care more about room size and activities, while a budget traveller may simply want the lowest overall cost.
The EaseMyTrip technology platform is increasingly expected to understand those differences rather than showing every customer the same collection of offers.
Hotels and Holidays Could Become More Important
Air travel remains a major part of EaseMyTrip’s business, but hotels can offer online travel platforms a different margin profile.
That is one reason Indian OTAs have been investing heavily in accommodation, packages and experiences.
EaseMyTrip’s growth in hotel room nights suggests the company is getting more traction outside airline bookings.
A broader product mix can also keep customers inside one platform for longer.
Someone who books a flight could also book accommodation, an airport transfer and other parts of the trip rather than moving between multiple apps.
That creates opportunities for cross-selling while making the business less dependent on one travel segment.
Awards Matter Most When the Business Delivers
Industry awards can strengthen a company’s brand, but they do not replace operating performance.
For EaseMyTrip, the more meaningful test will be whether its investment in technology, hotels, international operations and new travel categories translates into sustainable growth.
The company says it has more than 33 million registered customers and is working towards a wider Vision 2030 strategy built around a diversified travel ecosystem.
That makes the latest recognitions useful markers of where it wants the business to go.
The ICC award highlights the travel-operation side, while the VETA recognition points towards travel-tech user experience and B2B services.
Together, they fit neatly with EaseMyTrip’s attempt to present itself not simply as another ticket-booking site, but as a technology-led platform covering a much larger part of the travel journey.
