Vivo makes a bold entry into India’s premium smartphone segment with two powerful new offerings built around ZEISS optics, Snapdragon flagship chips, and all-day battery life.
Vivo has officially launched the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE in India on May 6, 2026, marking a significant push by the Chinese smartphone brand into the country’s high-end market. The two phones target distinct buyer profiles — the Ultra catering to power users and photography enthusiasts, while the FE brings flagship-grade hardware to a relatively more accessible price point.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X300 Ultra is priced at ₹1,59,999 for its sole 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. The Vivo X300 FE, on the other hand, starts at ₹79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at ₹89,999.
Both devices will be available via e-commerce platforms, Vivo’s official e-store, retail shops, and select outlets starting May. Pre-orders are open on Flipkart and Amazon India, with early-bird benefits such as bank discounts, exchange offers, and no-cost EMI options expected to be available.
Vivo X300 Ultra: Specs at a Glance
The X300 Ultra is clearly Vivo’s flagship statement for 2026. It sports a 6.82-inch AMOLED 2K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Netflix HDR, and HDR Vivid. Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with the Adreno 840 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage.
Camera performance is the phone’s headline act. The rear setup consists of a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS using the LYTIA 901 sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with the LYT818 sensor, and a 200-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS — all bearing ZEISS branding. The front houses a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie shooter.
The device packs a 6,600mAh battery with 100W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge support. It is also IP68 and IP69 certified, making it highly resistant to dust and water. Colour options include Eclipse Black and Victory Green.
Vivo X300 FE: Compact Flagship Experience
The X300 FE is designed for those who want flagship performance without the flagship price tag or bulk. It features a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with a 2640 × 1216 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, supporting HDR10+ and Netflix HDR.
The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with an Adreno 829 GPU, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For photography, the triple rear camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.57 aperture, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with OIS at f/2.65, and an 8MP OmniVision OV08F10 ultra-wide camera at f/2.2. Up front, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera sits behind an f/2.0 aperture.
A 6,500mAh battery backs the device, with support for 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging.
In terms of software longevity, the X300 FE promises four OS upgrades paired with seven years of security updates — a commitment that gives it a notable edge in the mid-premium space. Both phones run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The X300 FE is available in Urban Olive, Lilac Purple, and Noir Black colour options.
Bottom Line
With the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE launched simultaneously, Vivo is clearly making a calculated play for both ends of India’s premium smartphone market. The Ultra delivers an uncompromising experience built around dual 200MP ZEISS cameras and a massive battery, while the FE democratises many of those features for buyers with a tighter budget. Together, the X300 series positions Vivo as a serious challenger in a segment long dominated by Samsung and Apple.
