Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled a 12-step action plan to strengthen ties with Pacific Island nations on the sidelines of the Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC) conference in Papua New Guinea.

Together with his colleague from Papua New Guinea, PM Modi served as co-chair of the conference. The Act East Policy of New Delhi includes India’s interaction with the 14 Pacific Island Countries (PICs).

A regional hub for IT and cyber security training would be established by India in Papua New Guinea, along with Jan Aushadi Kendras, yoga studios, and dialysis facilities.
