Strong momentum in stocks
With this rally, Waaree Energies’ market capitalisation was ₹1.06 lakh crores, compared to ₹99,911 crore at Wednesday’s close. The volumes were above 3.6 times the regular average as well. The stock has risen for the third consecutive day, reflecting strong buying appetite from the investing community.
Over the past 12 months, Waaree shares have given returns of 147%, way ahead of the benchmark indices. In the same period, the Nifty fell 0.13%, the Sensex fell 0.43%, and the industry average was a return of 38%.
The stock is currently trading above its important support levels, with the 50-day average at ₹3,143.1 and the 200-day average at ₹2,729.1. Still, caution is needed based on the technical indicators, as the MFI is at 79, warning of being in an overbought zone.
Boosting investor confidence, results for Q1
- The vigorous rally comes from Waaree’s exceptional results for the first quarter.
- The company reported an 89% increase in consolidated net profit of ₹745 crores, up from ₹394 crores in the same quarter last year.
- Revenue from operations grew 30% YoY to ₹4,426 crores from ₹3,408 crores in Q1 of FY25.
- Quarter on quarter, profit is up 20% from ₹619 in Q4 FY25. Revenues improved 11% versus ₹4,004 crores.
The profit after tax (PAT) is attributable to the shareholders of the parent company, which reflects a solid performance from all segments.
Business focus
Waaree Energies has three main areas of focus:
- Solar photovoltaic modules
- Power generation
- Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC)
The company is experiencing both domestic and international growth, with strong order demand and demand for renewable energy continuing to increase.
Outlook: Surpassing a market cap of ₹1 lakh crore is an important milestone for Waaree Energies. Continued strong performance, increasing orders, and strong investor interest suggest growth will continue.
Analysts suggest caution, however, as the stock appears overbought and external factors, such as raw materials prices and policy changes, could have an impact on future performance in the coming quarters.
