Hyderabad-based Sigma Advanced Systems Limited (formerly Megasoft Limited) on July 14, 2026, announced the acquisition of 100% equity in UK-based Bromford Precision Solutions Limited.
The deal is valued at approximately GBP 11.89 million, or around ₹153 crore. It is expected to close by end-July 2026, subject to customary conditions, the company said.
Stock swings on acquisition news
Shares of Sigma Advanced Systems reacted sharply to the announcement. The stock spiked intraday, gave up most of those gains, then recovered slightly through the session. It touched ₹589.20, up 1.07% before 10 am.
Deal at 4.6x EBITDA multiple
The transaction values Bromford at an enterprise value-to-adjusted EBITDA (CY2026 estimate) multiple of approximately 4.6x.
Bromford, founded in 1988 and based in Leicestershire, specialises in high-precision aeroengine ring components and other complex machined structures such as compressor casings, ducts, brackets and lock plates. It counts Rolls-Royce and Siemens among its approving OEMs.
The company is described as operationally profitable, with demand from key customers driving its growth.
Strengthening the Rolls-Royce supply chain
The acquisition builds on Sigma’s existing UK presence through its subsidiary Nasmyth Group.
Sigma says Bromford adds capability for larger aeroengine components, complementing its own range for shared OEM customers. Bromford also brings long-term contracts for components, including engine lock plates.
Sigma CEO Sunil Kalidindi said, “This acquisition strengthens Sigma’s position within one of the most demanding aero engine supply chains in the world.” He added that combined, the two companies create “one of the most capable ring and casing manufacturing platforms globally,” and looked forward to “building on Bromford’s three decades of engineering heritage as part of Sigma’s broader platform.”
Value creation through India shift
Sigma outlined a three-part value creation plan for Bromford.
This includes margin expansion via capital investment and automation, transitioning select component manufacturing to India to cut costs, and revenue growth through deeper OEM penetration and expanded long-term agreements.
Bromford’s existing management team will continue running day-to-day operations, backed by Sigma’s broader leadership.
Sigma Advanced Systems designs and manufactures mission-critical systems across avionics, naval systems, radars, communications and aerospace.
