Leadership journeys are rarely linear. They are shaped by moments of uncertainty, choices made at crossroads, and the ability to adapt with clarity and conviction. Praveen Daga’s journey reflects this reality—a path that began in a small town, evolved through varied aspirations, and found purpose at the intersection of marketing, healthcare, and responsible growth. Today, as a senior marketing leader at Innvolution Healthcare, Praveen represents a new generation of professionals who believe that sustainable success is built on trust, relevance, and integrity.
Growing up, Praveen was acutely aware of standing out—even through something as personal as his name. At a time when familiar names were common, “Praveen” felt different, often drawing unintended attention. As a child, he questioned his mother about it. Her response left a lasting impression. She explained that Praveen means “proficient”—someone who strives to do things well. That simple explanation quietly shaped his outlook on life and leadership. Over time, it became a personal philosophy: not to claim excellence, but to pursue sincerity, effort, and continuous improvement. As Praveen reflects, “I am a jack of many trades, a master of some, and deeply committed to growing as a leader who serves before he leads.”
Praveen’s professional journey, much like his personal one, was not predetermined. His early aspirations leaned toward music and medicine—fields driven by creativity and care. When those paths did not materialize, he pivoted with pragmatism, choosing to pursue an MBA as a second plan. What followed was a natural alignment with marketing—a discipline that combined strategy, storytelling, and human interaction. During his MBA, Praveen gravitated instinctively toward marketing, drawn by its ability to connect ideas with people.
However, the early phase of his career began in sales—a demanding, numbers-driven environment. While challenging, this experience proved formative. Sales taught him discipline, accountability, and an unfiltered understanding of markets and people. Yet, over time, the transactional nature of the role felt limiting. Marketing, he realized, offered a broader canvas—one where strategy could meet empathy, and where long-term value mattered as much as short-term outcomes. As he succinctly puts it, “Sales grounded me in reality. Marketing gave me direction. Together, they helped me find not just a profession, but a purpose.”
This convergence of healthcare and marketing eventually led Praveen Daga into the medtech industry and to Innvolution Healthcare. Today, Innvolution stands as a leader in India’s Cath Lab segment, with a strong and growing presence across corporate hospital chains, government institutions, medical colleges, trust hospitals, and private cardiac centers, including in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The company’s portfolio spans advanced Cath Lab imaging platforms, interventional cardiology devices such as drug-eluting stents and balloons, imaging accessories, and radiation protection solutions—addressing the full continuum of cardiac care from diagnosis to intervention.
Innvolution’s steady rise has been driven by consistent investment in R&D, manufacturing, and clinician partnerships, along with a focus on delivering globally compliant, clinically relevant technologies. A significant milestone in this journey is the company’s global sales and marketing collaboration with Fujifilm. This partnership marks a strategic step toward international markets and reflects a shared vision of taking high-quality innovation from India to the world. It also reinforces Innvolution’s positioning not merely as a product company, but as a long-term healthcare partner focused on outcomes and trust.
Recognition has followed this journey, though Praveen views it with characteristic restraint. In 2023, he was named among the Best CMOs of India, an acknowledgement he describes as humbling. During his period, Innvolution Healthcare also received several notable honors, including the Good Design Award, iF Design Award, ET Best Brand, and the distinction of being named Medtech Company of the Year by the Government of India. For Praveen, these recognitions serve as affirmations of shared values, consistency, and purpose—reminders to remain grounded while continuing to build solutions that matter.
Praveen’s academic foundation reflects the same philosophy of continuous learning. A science graduate with an MBA in Marketing, he further strengthened his capabilities through a specialised Product Management programme at the Indian School of Business (ISB), ensuring his perspective remained aligned with evolving technology and market needs. Yet, he believes that the most meaningful education comes from experience—learning, unlearning, and adapting in a constantly changing healthcare landscape.
Looking ahead, Praveen’s vision is clear: to help build a globally respected MedTech brand from India—one that balances innovation with responsibility, scale with integrity, and growth with purpose. Expanding access to advanced cardiovascular technologies beyond metro cities, strengthening clinician education and collaboration, and leveraging digital and AI-led engagement responsibly are central to this outlook.
As he summarizes his philosophy simply and powerfully: “Lead with integrity, stay curious, and build with purpose—because success that earns trust is the only success that truly lasts.”
