When we asked Biplob Basu, Founder of Petuk Restaurant, about his source of passion, he expressed his appreciation towards his customers. 

A Brief History-

Back in 2014, Biplob Basu has been a professional in the hospitality industry, working for renowned brands. But a yearn for creating something of his own often used to call him for desperate attention. Finally, on 15th April, 2014, Biplob took the dive into entrepreneurship and created Petuk Restaurant. The company oozes notes of inspiration as we came to know about their major fire incident in just 4 months of operation. 

Petuk, under the leadership of Biplob Basu swiftly addressed the situation with patience and gradually rebuilt the business from the ground. There were immense challenges like maintaining the reputation of providing high quality food, scaling the business and many others. 

Struggles and Success Stories-

But the beauty of Petuk Restaurant lies in the fact that it shares the perspective of collaboration. On several occasions, the business encounters Biplob himself cooking some tasty food and washing dishes. 

During a challenging period, owners Dr. Archana Basu, who is about 77 years old and Mrs. Ranjita Basu happily lends their hand in operations. Such exhibits are moments of clarity, where no matter how high we reach, our heart and feet lie on the ground. Petuk Restaurant started as a take-away counter and currently has 36 cover restaurants. They also offer catering services for events and occasions.

Furthermore, based on a project, Petuk Restaurant offers half of its space for a small banquet hall for 35 to 40 people. The business encountered COVID-19 pandemic and had to halt their expansion plan.
